Ahead of the monsoon season, the Sreekandapuram Municipality Governing Committee and the Health Department conducted inspections in markets and hotels. The municipality chairman, Adv. E.V. Ramakrishnan, informed that inspections in hotels and markets have been intensified to prevent contagious diseases that spread during the monsoon and to ensure food safety. The inspections were led by Chairperson Adv. E.V. Ramakrishnan, Health Affairs Standing Committee Chairperson P. Nurdin, Education Standing Committee Chairperson K. Biju, PHI Satheesh P.V., JHI Archana Moorcott, Aneesh P.V., and others.

Sreekandapuram: Sreekandapuram Municipality has been honored with the prestigious Pachathuruth Puraskaram by the Haritha Keralam Mission in recognition of its exemplary efforts in environmental conservation.

The award was presented for the successful establishment and effective maintenance of the Sreekandapuram Jaiva Vaividhya Park Pachathuruth, a model initiative promoting biodiversity and sustainable ecosystem management. The project has been widely appreciated for its role in enhancing green cover, preserving native species, and creating environmental awareness among the public.

Sreekandapuram Municipality dedicated palliative care equipment to the nation. The handover of palliative care equipment purchased using Rs. 10 lakh granted from the South Indian Bank's CSR fund to Sreekanthapuram Municipality was carried out by Erikkur MLA Adv. Sajeev Joseph. The event, held at the Korangod Old Age Home, was presided over by the Municipality Chairperson Adv. E V Ramakrishnan. Ward Councilor Varghese Nadu Ny Kalayil welcomed the event, and the chief guests included South Indian Bank Chief Operating Officer Anto George Thenganakulam, Fr. Antony Manjalamkunnel, Dr. K V Philomina Teacher, among others. The pre-monsoon mega cleaning and reservoir cleaning of Sreekantapuram

Under the leadership of the Sreekantapuram Municipality, the pre-monsoon mega cleaning and reservoir cleaning, conducted ahead of the rainy season, were inaugurated by the Municipality Chairman Adv. E. V. Ramakrishnan. In his inaugural speech, the Municipality Chairman reminded everyone, both in rural and urban areas, to keep clean for the inspection related to the Swachh survey. The ceremony was chaired by P. Noorudeen, Chairperson of the Municipality Health Standing Committee, and former Chairperson Dr. K. V. Philomina Teacher and Sanitation Ambassador Sadanandan Chepparamb were the chief guests. Extensive reservoir cleaning and town cleaning were carried out. Cleaning activities worth twenty thousand rupees were conducted under the leadership of the respective councilors in all 31 wards of the municipality. Additionally, steps are being taken by the municipality to clean various public reservoirs within the municipality.
